Sporting a unique wedding reception style is something that has become increasingly common over the past few years in the wedding world and we have loved to see it! It can be a great way to switch up your look and add an element of surprise to your special day. Here are a few reasons why you might want to consider having a second dress for your wedding reception:
- Comfort: Wedding dresses are often designed to be elegant and formal, but they may not be the most comfortable option for dancing and celebrating with your guests. A second dress that is lighter, shorter, or more flexible can make it easier for you to move around and enjoy your reception freely.
- Style: Your wedding dress may be a classic, timeless gown that is perfect for your ceremony, but it may not reflect your personal style or the vibe of your reception. A second dress can allow you to choose a secondary style that is more in line with the taste and the atmosphere of your celebration and showcase a bit more of your personality.
- Practicality: Wedding dresses are also often expensive and delicate, and wearing them for the entire day can increase the risk of damage or staining. So a second dress that is less expensive or easier to clean can also be practical choice that allows you to enjoy your reception without worrying about something happening to THE gown.
- Photos: Your wedding photos will be the cherished memories that you will look back on for years to come. Having a second unique wedding reception style can provide you with the opportunity to capture more variety in your photos, and showcase different looks and moods throughout the day.
Now hear me out, it’s NOT by any means a necessity to have a second look. If you love your first outfit and it works to wear it the whole day, DO IT 🙂 I am so here for it. But if you feel like it might adding an extra layer of excitement and practicality to your wedding day, consider it! It’s definitely got its perks. Here are a few unique reception styles I found that are super stylish!
