I was overjoyed to get to capture Mari and Frank’s engagement session at one of my favorite session locations, the Washington National Cathedral! The stunning backdrop of the cathedral’s architecture provided the picturesque, chic, and romantic setting we were going for with the shoot.
We started off the evening in Bishops Garden with their adorable sidekick, Luna. I love to kick off my engagement sessions in the more casual outfit as we warm up and get comfortable in front of the camera. For most, getting in front of the camera can be intimidating so I think it’s really important to ease your clients into it to give them the most comfortable experience.
As the sun began to lower, we moved to cathedral grounds and the warm golden light showed up to give us a beautiful glow that looked so stunning coming through all the arches. It was truly a beautiful evening spent capturing their National Cathedral engagement session. We are counting down the days till we get to continue to celebrate their love story at their wedding at Goodstone Inn this September.
