I recently had the pleasure of photographing a stunning engagement session for one of my 2024 couples, Joanna and Yanni, at the iconic Union Station in Washington, DC. Their stylish and modern style paired perfectly with the station’s classic architecture, creating a beautiful contrast that made all the romantic and chic, city vibes come to life for this session!
We met bright and early at sunrise to take advantage of the stunning morning light and to avoid the crowds (an often scenario in DC!). But you never would have known it was so early – the couple arrived looking absolutely stunning and full of happiness and excitement, making my job as their photographer so easy.
The classic columns, soaring arches, and intricate details of the station made for endless photo opportunities that were so fun to capture. It was my first time photographing here, but definitely won’t be my last! As we wrapped up the session, we celebrated with a little champagne in the warm morning glow and it was the perfect way to end the morning together.
Needless to say, I cannot wait for these two to tie the knot next spring at the Baltimore Museum of Art and to get to capture the full wedding weekend for them! Lots more magic to come!
