When it comes to picking a spot for your engagement session, I always encourage my couples to think of places that mean something to them or places that feel like a fun date night. Trisha and Leif took my advice and made this such a unique and fun session to photograph! The whole evening for their H Street engagement session was curated around their favorite spots from when they started their lives together in this neighborhood.
We kicked it off at Maketto on H Street which was such a fun vibe (well worth a visit if you haven’t been!), stopped by Hill Prince, and then hopped on some bikes to ride around their old neighborhood a street or two over. Since they bike to work, this was such a fun detail. Not pictured was me busting my butt sprinting alongside them to get those shots!
We popped into Farewell for some Polenta fries (my first time ever trying them!) and we were treated to the sweetest staff and lots of champagne. Finally, we watched the sunset atop a parking garage at Union Market and it was such a perfect ending to their H Street engagement session! I love these photos so much because they are so much more than just pretty engagement photos of two people in love. They capture not only their love, but their story, and for that I am so honored.
As if I couldn’t be more excited, these two are getting married at the venue where I got married at 4 years ago, and I can’t wait to be back!
