If there’s one thing 2020 gave me, it’s a love for intimate weddings! I truly had a blast photographing this day for Sarah and Doug at the Jefferson Hotel in Washington DC. It made it ten times better that they had such a great planner (thank you Elizabeth Duncan Events!) No matter how small your wedding day is, a good planner always makes a world of difference.
Sarah & Doug’s intimate wedding at The Jefferson Hotel was a perfect choice for two history-lovers, and beautifully complemented with a brunch celebration. I was lucky enough to get a tour of the hotel prior to the wedding and learned so much about its’ history that made this wedding all the more fun to photograph. They opted to have their ceremony at the Center for Strategic and International Studies which overall made for an absolutely jaw-dropping ceremony complete with a live harpist.
