Veronica + Scott invited me into their beautiful DC home on a hot Monday afternoon to photograph their engagement photos. Their vision from the start for their engagement photos was to literally capture them in their real life – nothing posed or staged! They didn’t just want their photos to LOOK authentic, they wanted them to BE truly authentic and it made for such a special time! I got to just chill with them and experience a normal afternoon with them and their pups, and by the end of it, it felt like we were long time friends just hanging out!
When I first arrived, Veronica was cutting Scott’s hair and I just assumed they were running a bit late on getting ready for the session. But I was so wrong! Veronica was previously a hair stylist and she actually met Scott while cutting his hair! Ever since their relationship began, she’s been cutting his hair ever since so they decided to plan it so he would be getting his routine hair cut when I arrived. From sitting in “their” chairs, making coffee while the other plays guitar, playing with their dogs, wedding planning in bed, and more this session was filled with personal touches of THEM and their relationship and I couldn’t have been more about it.
