Every year during my off season, I begin the process of a website update. However, during the start of 2023, I did a total redesign that serves my brand and audience better. Today, I thought I’d share 4 reasons why I carved out the time to make these updates, and why if you’re a business owner, you might want to consider it as well!
- Having a strong brand experience starts with your website. It sets the tone for everything! I found that even just within just one to two years, so much of my favorite work and brand messaging had shifted and I wanted my website to reflect that.
- Add clarity and ease to the online user experience! In my website update, I created a blog structure that is more clean and organized for my audience to delve into all the content I am putting out! In past years, blogging has not been a priority of mine and my sites have reflected that. Now that my audience has grown, I wanted it to be a space that made sense for me!
- Copy and messaging on your website provides an idea of what clients encounter when they have an experience with your brand. I am big on setting clear expectations and communication from the start so updating my site always gives me a chance to rework copy and make sure it is an accurate reflection of my heart and my business now.
- It provides an opportunity to showcase some of your current best work and new raving reviews! I have always been a firm believer that your work should speak for itself, so it’s important to prioritize giving your website a refresh from time to time in order to let it reflect the work that you love the most and powerful testimonies from real clients.
