Rachel and Kevin are avid hikers and lovers of the outdoors, so it was only fitting that we met up at Stony Man Shenandoah National Park for an adventure engagement session. Slightly warm with a breeze, we truly had the best day for it! We first met up at a nearby overlook and then made our way to the Stony Man Shenandoah trail (one of my favorites for a short hike!). These two were so fun to hangout with, the time flew by! At the top, we were met with the most beautiful golden light and sweeping views that were truly surreal. Blue hour was no less beautiful and these two brought homemade cookies. So we wrapped up the session sharing a cookie before we hiked back down. Before leaving, they even surprised me with a bottle of wine and a Chick-Fil-A gift card for dinner on the drive home (*cue the tears*).
Sometimes I have “pinch me” moments when driving home. It’s so crazy I get to spend time documenting and getting to know such amazing people in beautiful places and somehow call it work. This was one of those moments! I truly can’t wait to celebrate with these two and get to capture their big day this summer!
