I had the honor of capturing Alexis and Jeff’s modern monochrome wedding at the stunning District Winery in Washington, DC. From living in DC to LA to NYC, the couple’s modern, fashion-forward style effortlessly came through the whole day. They opted for an almost monochrome color palette, filled with lots of all white details, white bridesmaids dresses, and lots and lots of baby’s breath. The groom made a statement with a custom green suit that looked so sharp against all the white!
The hot summer day started with the bride and groom getting ready at the Thompson Hotel, surrounded by their closest friends and family. We then made our way to the Kennedy Center in DC for their first look and wedding party photos. The beautiful architecture of the Kennedy Center made for the perfect backdrop for their photos, with the stark white walls complementing the aesthetic so well. Afterwards, we made our way to District Winery for the ceremony and reception to begin! The stunning floral arrangements in all-white, combined with the black accents and modern industrial design of the winery, made for such a beautiful atmosphere for the rest of the night to take place. Every wedding day I photograph, I feel so grateful to be a part of, and this one was no exception! Alexis and Jeff’s love for each other was so evident and it was an honor to capture their special day.
