What an honor it was to get to photograph this wedding day for my brother in our family’s backyard! When COVID hit, like many, my brother and his fiancé were forced to postpone their big wedding day. But they weren’t going to let that stop them from getting married. With a limit of 10 people gatherings in the State of VA, my family pulled together a micro wedding in our backyard for just the two immediate families. Everything from the florals, tables, arbor, decor, officiating, photography and music was DIY’d by our family.
My parents got married in this same exact backyard in 1993 so there was actually so much history and tradition in this spot that just made this day 10 times more special. SO many special moments from this day that I cherish near and dear to my heart. In such a chaotic and uncertain time, this day was just such a testament to the beauty of marriage and love.
